We’ve just confirmed the dates of our first set of public training courses for 2010. We will be running three days of Perl training from the 13th to the 15th April. There will be three one-day courses – Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Perl. The courses will, once again, be held in the Imperial Hotel in Russell Square, London. A quick reminder that there are still some places left on my public training courses taking place in London next month. 24th Nov – Beginners Perl 25th Nov – Intermediate Perl 26th Nov – Advanced Perl All courses take place at the Imperial Hotel, Russell Square, London WC1B 5BB. Update: I’ve just heard from the organisers that the Intermediate course is almost full and that places are also going quickly on the other two days. So I recommend getting in soon.

We have put online the slides from the training course that Dave Cross ran in Lisbon last week. Currently the slides are only available in the original OpenOffice format. We’ll get PDF and PowerPoint versions up just as soon as we can. The slides are also on SlideShare.

We’ve set up a Magnum Solutions page on Facebook. If you’re on Facebook then you can become a “fan” of the page and that will be another way to keep in touch with what we are doing. And whilst we’re on a social networking roll, there’s also a Twitter account (perltraining_uk) where we’ll be posting news of forthcoming training courses.

Magnum’s owner will be running a two-day “Introduction to Perl” course over the weekend before this year’s YAPC::Europe conference. The conference this year is in Lisbon, Portugal from August 3rd to 5th and the training course is on the 1st and 2nd. More details on our public training page.

Booking is now open for the three days of Perl training that we’re running in conjunction with UKUUG in November. Full details are on the public training page and you can book on the UKUUG site. I should also point out that UKUUG are also running a one-day tutorial on RT in August. This course will be run by Jesse Vincent, the founder of Best Practical, the company who wrote RT.
